Job Description:
Reputable HVAC Company is seeking to hire a BMI Engineer.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Coordination Projects:
oDetail a plan of action for the prescribed job coordination.
oCoordinate all aspects of mechanical scope, including but not limited to HVAC systems, structural framing and openings for mechanical systems, impact of other trades (e.g. fire protection, electrical, plumbing, structural, architectural elements, etc.), and incorporate specification requirements and submittal data.
oParticipate in coordination meetings and interact with client, owner and trades.
oProvide problem resolution assistance to field personnel as needed.

Prefabrication Plans:
oCreate ductwork fabrication plans including duct and fitting dimensions, lengths, elevations, offsets, transitions, and notes/tags necessary for installation and fabrication.
oCreate spool piece drawings for industrial piping plans. Details to include pipe cut lengths, material lists, and accessory dimensions.

Design/Permitted Projects:
oAssist Commercial Sales team as required with project takeoffs, loads, or design meetings.
oCreate plans in accordance with Sales Engineer’s design and budget.
oInteract with architects and engineers to ensure plans are coordinated for permitting and construction.
oProvide sufficient plan detail for constructability and permitting. Coordinate with Project Manager as necessary.
oCoordinate with suppliers to ensure all equipment and material information is accurate.

Quality Control:
oMaintain organized record of outstanding issues, RFI’s, and changes in design.
oReview plans to minimize errors and omissions prior to issuance to field for construction.
oEnsure drawings are completed in compliance with construction and fabrication schedules.
oNotify Commercial Sales or Project Manager of any drawings, permit schedules or pricing requirements that arise during process.
oMaintain accurate as-built drawings as needed on projects for record and submission to owner.

•Excellent computer skills are essential as the detailed use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, AutoCAD MEP, Revit, SysQue and Navisworks will be a major component of this position.
•Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once.

•Effective written and verbal communication skills.
•General Requirements: ability to attend project site meetings as needed.
•Physical Requirements: ability to visit and evaluate project sites for coordination, construction conflict resolutions, as-built conditions, etc. This may include working from ladders, in tight spaces, and seasonal environmental conditions.
