Job Description:
Reputable law firm in Raleigh is seeking a civil litigation paralegal. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Drafts and coordinates the filing of routine pleadings, affidavits, orders and other legal documentation in State, Federal, Court matters. Proofreads and edits legal documents and other written materials to ensure accuracy and completeness. Maintains legal calendaring system to ensure timely compliance with various legal deadlines. Analyzes and coordinates the gathering of information, materials, documents, reports and evidence which is necessary to respond to discovery. Utilizes technical information to make independent decisions and recommendations to the supervising attorney. Corresponds with clients, various court personnel, and adversary attorneys. Performs other related duties as assigned by attorney(s) File intake and set up Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Intermediate to advance skill level in Microsoft Office products to include Word, Outlook and Excel. Basic understanding of litigation legal process. 2-3 years paralegal experience. 4 year college degree and/or Paralegal Certification with an accredited institution. Proven ability to manage details. Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong ability to analyze and problem solve. Type 50+ WPM. Apply today!
