About Cambridge College
About Cambridge College
Cambridge College’s mission is to provide access to high quality bachelor’s, advanced degrees and certificate programs to talented and intelligent adults who want to earn the credentials required to advance in their fields, and in their lives. Headquartered in Boston, MA and regional centers in Lawrence, MA, Springfield, MA, Southern California, and Puerto Rico, we prepare our graduates to be thoughtful and ethical leaders to meet the challenges of their workplaces and communities. Our flexible, focused degree programs are regionally and professionally accredited and equip our students with the knowledge, training and skills that employer’s desire. With an average age of 37, Cambridge College specializes in teaching adult learners — people who are juggling the multiple responsibilities of family, work, and life. As a pioneer in this space of adult education, we believe that life experience is an asset – not a liability. We value the life skills and abilities from outside the classroom that our students bring into the classroom.
Since the day Cambridge College opened its doors more than 45 years ago, the school has put down deep roots and become a vital part of its vibrant, multi-cultural community. A private, nonprofit institution, Cambridge College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission on Higher Education (NEASC CIHE); our various degree and certificate programs enable students to earn the credentials they need to advance in their careers.
Cambridge College offers high-quality academic programs during fall, spring, and summer. Convenient for working adults, most courses are taught evenings and weekends, many blending onsite and online components. Our more than 450 full- and part-time faculty are scholar-practitioners who bring their experience into the classroom. Each year, we enroll over 5,000 students in our undergraduate, masters, and doctoral degree programs; and certificate and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) programs.
The diversity of our community spans age, background, ethnicity, and work experience. More than 65% of our students are members of minority groups, three-quarters are women, and 17% are non-native English speakers. Our inclusive culture provides a positive and productive educational experience for adult learners.
We strive to unlock valuable educational opportunities for as many people as possible, and we work hard to keep tuition costs low and to provide financial aid to those who qualify. Today, Cambridge College’s tuition is less than the cost of the average nonprofit four-year college, and we provide financial assistance to over 60% of our students.
Our more than 30,000 alumni are the best evidence of the quality and value of a Cambridge College education. Each day, all around the world, they are changing the schools in which they teach and lead, the healthcare and social service agencies in which they work, and the communities in which they live and serve. The impact they have on the world begins with the open doors and accessible opportunities at Cambridge College.
